We pick you up from your hotel in Erfoud or Merzouga in our family 4x4. Short drive to our camel base at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Meet your Berber cameleer who will introduce you to our family camels, each with a name and a personality.

Camel Trek into the Dunes
Mount your camel and begin the slow, rhythmic journey into the dunes. Our route reaches the highest viewpoint just as the sun starts to descend. You'll ride past small dune cliffs, across sand seas, feeling centuries of caravan history beneath your feet.

Sunset at the Highest Dune
Arrive at a quiet, elevated dune with 360° views. Dismount, sink your feet into the warm sand, and watch the Sahara turn gold, orange, then deep red as the sun falls behind the horizon. Time for photos, silence, and the "pinch me I'm here" feeling.

Berber Tea Ceremony
We serve you traditional mint tea in the sand — the Berber way, poured from high to create the perfect foam. Stars begin to appear. Pure desert silence. This is the moment most travellers remember decades later.

Return Under the Stars
Camel ride back to base as the first stars appear in the sky. Return transfer to your hotel. Total experience: around 4 hours, door to door.

Climb through the High Atlas via the legendary Tizi n'Tichka pass. Photo stops at scenic viewpoints. In winter: snow on peaks. In spring: wildflowers. Visit a Berber village where a cooperative sells authentic argan oil.

Arrival at Aït Benhaddou
First sight of the ksar rising from the red earth — jaw-dropping. Cross the river on foot (or on a donkey for the kids). Walk up through the fortified clay city, stopping at artisan homes, historic storage towers, and panoramic viewpoints.

Short drive to Ouarzazate. Visit Atlas Studios (exterior) where Gladiator, The Mummy, Kingdom of Heaven, Game of Thrones were filmed. Also Taourirt Kasbah, a former Glaoui palace.

Argan Cooperative Visit
Stop at an authentic women's argan cooperative — a real fair-trade cooperative, not a tourist shop. Watch the traditional argan oil production: cracking nuts, roasting, pressing. Buy directly from the women if you wish (fair prices, money goes to them). Optional: see goats in argan trees!

Arrive at Essaouira Medina
Enter through the historic gate into the UNESCO World Heritage medina. Atmosphere changes: Atlantic breeze, seagulls, blue doors, whitewashed walls. Guided walk through the ramparts, the Skala (Game of Thrones filming location for Astapor), and the artisan quarters.

Fresh Fish Lunch at the Port
Walk to the photogenic fishing port with blue boats and busy fishermen. Lunch at a harbour-side grill: pick your fish from the day's catch (sea bass, sardines, calamari, shrimp), grilled on the spot, served with bread, lemon, tomato salad. Pure ocean. One of the best meals of your trip.

Free Time in Essaouira
Free time at your pace. Options: walk the 10 km beach, camel ride on the sand, visit Thuya wood workshops (Essaouira specialty), explore art galleries, kitesurfing, or coffee at a terrace.
